iPhone 3G GPS Problems

Ever since the last software update, I’ve been having a lot of issues with my iPhone 3G’s GPS.  Most of the time, when I set it to find my current location, it just sits there and never drops the pin.

I did a google search and found two possible solutions to the problem.

#1 – Go to settings and turn off the location services.  Restart the iPhone (turn off & on).  Go to settings and turn on the location services.  This half worked.  It dropped a pin, but it said that I was in Pittsburgh.

#2 – Turn off the 3G connection.  Once it drops the pin, you can turn 3G back on.  This solution worked perfectly and found me exactly where I was.

Of course, this better just be a short term solution.  Apple needs to fix this problem in 2.0.3!!

If you are also having problems with your iPhone 3G’s GPS, be sure to leave a comment if this fix works for you.  Thanks.

The Baconator

When I saw the advance advertising for the Baconator, I knew I had to have one. At least one.

This baby features two quarter-pound beef patties,  two thick slabs of American cheese, six(!) slices of hickory-smoked bacon, mayonnaise and ketchup… and not a damn thing that’s healthy.

Sayra drove through Wendy’s and brought the thing back to work for me.  It was a little smaller than anticipated. It was no larger than a regular Wendy’s Double, but boy, was it dense.  It’s like some kind of optical illusion.  You see it and subconsciously calculate its weight, but when you pick it up, you find that it’s impossibly heavy.

It was surprised that the burger I received looked a lot like the one in the ads.

The baconator

Of course I didn’t really expect it to look picture perfect.  All in all, the burger was really good.  I don’t think this will be a regular lunch choice for me, but it was worth trying at least once.  At least now I can say that I’m a Meatatarian!!!

The Secret

Are you looking for health, wealth and happiness? Well, the Secret is in this book.  It’s the law of attraction, which says we create our own world.
All the great thinkers knew the Secret and that was the key to their success. This knowledge is finally being released to the masses.

Rhonda Bryne’s “The Secret” is one of the most inspiring, life enhancing work I have ever come across.  It is delivered in a manner that anyone can understand and relate to.

What I love most about this work is it’s impact in both scope and delivery. You learn HOW to focus and HOW to change your mental and verbal script to create the life you truly prefer.  It teaches you how to go about manifesting in a clear and positive manner.

I am very familiar with what is shared about the manifestation process and can personally attest to it’s accuracy from my own life.  We all have the power within us to create and manifest.  In fact we are doing it all the time. Unfortunately, few of us realize this and we end up creating what we don’t want, not what we do want.

I believe anyone from any culture or background can find joy and delight as they are awakened to what CAN happen when you combine your thoughts, words, feelings, passion, focus, action and trust allowing the universe to bring about what you TRULY would love in your life.

If you really have the desire to turn your life around, I wholeheartedly recommend BOTH this book, as well as watching the movie. Both are entirely inspiring, pure, positive, and I believe life changing for anyone.

I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding The Secret. But I don’t care about all of that. There are always going to be opposing views, and if you are looking to pick apart something and be skeptical, then certainly the message will not resonate within you as positive.

So, if you want to become a CONSCIOUS creator and start attracting into your life all the things that you do want—read this book and follow it’s guidance.  Put the teachings into practice.

Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2

Back when the XBOX 360 launched in the fall of 2005, the release titles were a little sparse.  There were 18 games, but most of the titles were just high res XBOX games.

With the exception of Call of Duty 2, Madden 06, & maybe Perfect Dark Zero there wasn’t that much out for the first few months. The one game that I kept coming back to and was borderline addicted to was an XBLA game: Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved.

The game was very simple.  Survive as long as possible and score as many points as possible by shooting at different waves of enemies.

The controls were also very simple.  Move the ship with the left thumbstick, shoot with the right thumbstick, and release bombs with the triggers.  It was this simplicity that made the game so great.

An average game for me would last about 3-4 minutes.  That means that I didn’t have to invest a lot of time into playing.  I could hop in, play a few games, and get on with the rest of my day.  Here it is almost 2 years later and I still play at least a few games a week.

That’s why one of the announcements that I was most excited about at last month’s E3 was the release of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2.  I just downloaded it a few hours ago and it is AMAZING!!!

It has everything I liked about the first one, but pluses it by 10.  The game now has 6 different modes: Deadline, King, Pacifism, Waves, Evolved, and Sequence.  I won’t go into detail about each mode, but the ones that I’ve been playing the most have been Evolved (the first game redone with some new enemies) and Pacifism.

The graphics in this game are so colorful, bright, and intense you almost need to squint.  This actually makes the first game look dull!!!  The sound also seems to be amped up with a few new tracks.

Lastly is the addition of local multiplayer.  I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet.  The next time Schoppert stops by, this will be the first thing we play.

In the end, if you own an Xbox 360, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 is a must-own. It took the formula of one of the best games already on the arcade and somehow made it even better. The overall feel remains the same, but at the same time, so much has changed, and for $10, you really couldn’t ask for more.
