The House from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is For Sale

For the small amount of $2.3 million you can own a piece of classic movie history. Imagine the parties! You can check out the listing here.
Money and the color green are inextricably intertwined in American culture. It’d be a mistake to remove green as the primary color.
Instead, each bill has a brightly-colored holographic strip embedded into it which contains the denomination. The width of this strip also changes with the denomination. This introduces an element which makes each bill extremely easy to identify. There is also braille denoting the bills’ denomination on the holographic strip.
The idea of presidents being on money is also intrinsic in American money and that should change. One thing that definitely shouldn’t happen is the government deciding what cultural figures or movements are the most important or “American.” Instead the most important politicians should be on money. For the same reason, they put government institutions on the bills, representing each of the branches of government.
In addition, one of the most important things about America is our Bill of Rights. It is probably the most important information any citizen can have, and for that reason, it is printed on the back of the bills. It is sometimes thought the amendments are listed in order of importance, so it makes sense to have the first ones on the most common bills and the last ones on the less common bills.
Lastly, change the denominations of the bills. We need to get rid of the penny, because they’ve gotten to the point that they’re more expensive to produce than they’re worth. Instead, the coins would be 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, 50¢, $1, and $2.
The coins will keep their current design, and the $2 would be slightly thicker and larger than the $1, with a shape similar to the UK 50p coin. I’ve added a $200 bill because the $500 is entirely impractical, but the 200 € banknote is in general circulation and I think a $200 could be useful.”

Classic. I can’t believe that someone at this newspaper was that gullable.
Pepsi Throwback & Mountain Dew Throwback
Published May 5, 2009 Uncategorized Leave a CommentTags: Mountain Dew Throwback, Pepsi Throwback, sugar
Last weekend one of the guys at work introduced me to one of the coolest things. He ran over to Sheetz and got a bottle of Mountain Dew Throwback.
You can now enjoy Pepsi as it was meant to be made — with sugar. For 8 weeks this spring, Pepsi will carry versions of Pepsi Throwback & Mountain Dew Throwback.
These sodas will be sweetened with sugar, instead of the ultra-nasty High Fructose Corn Syrup, giving you that true cola taste. Up until now, the only way to get colas made with real sugar was to import them from Mexico
The bottles will also feature an old-school Pepsi logo instead of the modern smiling circle that adorns current cans. I can’t wait to try a bottle later today!!!
Endangered Series List

Over at tv.ign.com they just introduced their Endangered Series List.

The Endangered Series List tries to give you a clearer picture on the outlook of certain series and it’s a place where you can get a quick look at what is definitely coming back, what definitely isn’t, and which shows’ fate are still currently undecided – and thus, for now, simply endangered.
Some of the info was kinda obvious like ER and BSG not returning. I was glad to see that Friday Night Lights will be back in the fall.
Two shows that are currently “on the bubble” that I really hope return are Life & Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Here’s what they said about both:
Life :
There are some passionate fans for this show, but not nearly enough – with NBC cutting out five hours of scripted TV next season for Jay Leno’s new talk show, Life is almost definitely gone
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles:
Despite a passionate core following, ratings continually dropped for this series. It’s considered highly unlikely FOX will renew it.
Update (5/1): Terminator’s executive producer says there’s still hope, but that he hasn’t heard anything from FOX lately, one way or the other.

It’s not looking good for either of those two favorites. I’ll be sure to check back to the list often to watch for updates.
This awesome mouse has been popping up on various game and tech blogs since yesterday. I’ll definitely buy one. I hope it’s mac compatible.

So the Ravens didn’t get a big name receiver like Darius Heyward-Bey or Jeremy Macklin. Tackle may not be an exciting position, but if the Ravens can plug him in to replace J.O., then they got the biggest steal of the draft.
Plus after watching the video below about Michael Oher’s story, you can’t help but cheer for the guy.
Madden 10 Cover Athletes

This year’s Madden game will feature two athletes, Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu, for the first time ever. My curious question of course is if they each made as much money from the deal as Brett Farve did last year.
Also, does two people mean double the curse? Nothing would make me happier than to see the curse bite Polamalu right in the ass. I almost wish the entire Steelers team was on the cover
Madden 10 releases August 14, 2009.
